PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide estimated bus arrival time information at a bus stop where a user wants to get on a bus. SOLUTION: A bus service management system 4 periodically collects the current location information of a bus 103 from a car navigator installed in the bus 103 and a portable telephone through a portable telephone network 5. The system 4 collates the collected current location information of the bus 103 with a bus service schedule, recalculates and arrival time at each bus stop and stores the arrival time. An estimated arrival time at the bus stop where the user wants to get on the bus is immediately returned in response to a retrieval request through the Internet network 6 as a medium from the terminal device of the user 102 or a retrieval request through a portable telephone.
