PURPOSE:To prevent the coupling efficiency between optical fibers from decreasing regardless of a secular change or the frequency band of a light signal. CONSTITUTION:The position of a two-axis stage 19 where the optical signal emitted from a lens 4 which is coupled by a lens 7 fixed to a 4th optical fiber 13 and the signal detected by a photodetector 16 has a maximum level is detected as a reference position by a switching controller 22. The vector difference in the previously stored relative position of the two-axis stage 19, where the optical axis of the lens 7 is aligned with the optical axis of the lens 4, from the reference position to a substrate 26 is calculated by a controller 22 and stored as an offset quantity. When the switching controller 22 aligns the optical axis of a lens 5 or 6 with the optical axis of said lens 4 at the time of coupling with the lens 4 or 5, the above-mentioned offset quantity is added as a correction quantity to the previously stored relative position of the two-axis stage 19 to the substrate 26. |
