<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of lowering capacity of a capacitor and materializing a small size, by eliminating the ripple currents among phases, as much as possible and reducing the ripple currents in the capacitors between the phases. <P>SOLUTION: In the power converter equipped with power modules 2, 3, 4 comprising semiconductor devices and capacitors 5, 6, 7 in each phase, for mutually converting the electric power between a DC side and an AC side comprising a plurality of phases, the converter is constituted, in such a constitution that the impedance in the interphase current path of the power module to electrically connect the terminal of the power module 2 within a single phase and the terminals of the power modules 3, 4 in other phases, is set smaller than that of an in-phase current path to electrically connect the terminal of the power module 2 and the terminal of the capacitor 4 in the same phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
