A super regenerative receiver and a method for saving power in a super regenerative receiver are provided to adjust a duty cycle rate to reduce average power consumption to periodically turn off power of the super regenerative receiver, thereby reducing average power of the receiver. An operation time for oscillation is changed according to whether an input signal exists in an oscillator(530). A power controller(510) applies power to an isolation amplifier(520), the oscillator, an envelope detector(540) and amplifier(550) only during a period when the oscillator operates.
