A switching power supply is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by switching a transformer without a separate control chip. A switching power supply includes a rectifying part(5), a transformer(70), a first switching part(50), a second switching part(60), and an output part(80). The rectifying part rectifies a commercial AC into a DC. A first terminal(a), a second terminal(b), and a center tap(c) are arranged in a primary side of the transformer. The sensor tap is arranged between the first terminal and the second terminal. The rectified DC is applied to the center tap. The first switching part forms a first current path between the first terminal and a ground terminal. The second switching part forms a second current path between the second terminal and the ground terminal. The first current path delivers the DC from the center tap to the first terminal. The second current path delivers the DC from the center tap to the second terminal. The output part rectifies the AC induced in a secondary side of the transformer.
