PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support catheter which can improve push-in property when pushed in together with a treatment catheter in a guiding catheter.SOLUTION: A support catheter 1 is used commonly by a guiding catheter 4 and a balloon catheter 5. The support catheter 1 has enough length to be inserted through a base end side opening 4b of the guiding catheter 4 and to protrude from a distal end side opening 4a, and guides a balloon 23 to a narrow section 3. The support catheter 1 is provided with a support catheter body 31 and a fastener 40. The support catheter body 31 has a distal shaft 33 at a distal end side part 31a, and the distal end side part 31b protrudes from the base end side opening 4b. The fastener 40 is fitted to the distal end side part 31b of the support catheter body 31 and can have the distal end side part 21c of the balloon catheter 5 fitted and fastened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
