PURPOSE:To shorten the light emitting interval of a xenon tube by charging and discharging plural capacitors in a prescribed order. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply switch 2 is turned on and an oscillator consisting of parts 6-9 is actuated, a capacitor C10 is charged and the xenon tube 17 is enabled to emit light. A capacitor C27 is simultaneously charged, and when the voltage exceeds a prescribed level, an SCR20 is turned on and charging of the C19 is started. When a light emitting signal is inputted to the gate of an SCR13, the accumulated charge of a C12 is discharged, the charge of the C10 is discharged by boosting a transformer 16 and the tube 17 starts light emitting. When the voltage of the C10 is made equal to that of the C19, the C19 starts to discharge together with the C10. |
