发明名称 METHOD FOR MONITORING EMISSION OF NITROGEN OXIDE FROM INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE: To immediately measure discharge of nitrogen oxides from an internal combustion engine on a site and to provide a simple, low cost and firm measuring device. CONSTITUTION: An accelerometer is installed to one of the members that partition a combustion chamber in an engine and the engine is operated under various loads or speeds. A signal of the accelerometer, a measured quantity of nitrogen oxide NOx included in an exhausted gas and data in relation to characteristic parameters of the operation of the engine including at least a speed, load and an air temperature at a cylinder inlet are recorded simultaneously. A relationship between the measured quantity of the nitrogen oxide and the characteristic parameter of the signal of the accelerometer is determined and an accelerometer is installed to an engine to be monitored under the same condition and characteristic parameters thereof are recorded simultaneously. An equivalent value of discharged nitrogen oxide by the engine to be monitored is determined, based on the relationship. The judgment in terms of a countermeasure to be taken for observing a set value imposed for the discharge of nitrogen oxide is adequately made.
