In order to effect circumferential adjustment of the impression cylinder 4, (Fig. 3), relative to the blanket cylinder 3 a worm (19) driven toothed sector 17 is freely rotatable upon the shaft of the blanket cylinder. The sector 17 carries a double gear-wheel 27, having teeth 25 and 26, which is movable as a planet gear around two juxtaposed gear-wheels 11 and 12 also mounted on the blanket cylinder shaft, the wheel 11 being freely rotatable thereto whilst the wheel 12 is fixedly secured to the cylinder end face. A third gear wheel 13 of the same diameter as the wheel 12 is located adjacent the latter wheel but, like the wheel 11, is freely rotatable relative thereto. The freely rotatable wheels 11 and 13 are connected through a further double gear-wheel 30 which is rotatable about a stub shaft fixed to the side wall 1 of the machine. The gear-wheel 13 meshes with a gear-wheel 32 fixed to the impression cylinder 4. Manual actuation of the worm 19 through a rotatable knob 23 causes the sector 17 to rotate about the shaft of the blanket cylinder 3 and thus move the planet gear 27 around its associated gear wheels 11 and 12. Due to the difference in diameter between the wheels 11 and 12 the former is rotated relative to the blanket cylinder such that it drives the gear-wheel 32 attached to the impression cylinder through the double gear 30 and the gearwheel 13.
