<p>1276876 Two part couplings G BRIZZI 7 July 1969 [25 Sept 1968] 34093/69 Heading H2E A connector has a blade like contact 1 having at least two bosses projecting from opposite faces thereof, and an elongate mating element 6 having a base plate 9 and two spring flaps 8, 8a, wherein at least one boss contacts the base plate and at least one boss contacts a spring flap. The contact 1 which is stamped from thin sheet metal is provided with shoulders (3, 3a) acting as insertion stops and it may be planar with four bosses 4, 4a, 5, 5a aligned longitudinally and laterally in pairs, the bosses of each pair projecting from opposite sides of the contact 1. Alternatively the contact is formed with longitudinal corrugations (Figs. 5-11, not shown). The pitch of the corrugations may be the same as the width of the contact in which case the bosses project from the concave regions of the corrugations (Figs. 5-9), or the pitch may be small compared to the width, in which case the bosses are circular and project from the convex regions of the corrugations, (Figs. 10-11). The bosses may be formed wide apart or close together (Figs. 8-9).</p> |
