PURPOSE:To eliminate a cumulative error by using a fundamental step N and the maximum common divisor M with the quantity of new-paragraph starting different from the standard quantity of new-paragraph starting and correcting data at the fundamental step N at every new-paragraph starting at N/M times. CONSTITUTION:When a processor detects the quantity of new-paragraph starting of steps except the multiple of the fundamental step of a new-paragraph starting motor 9 such as the indication of new-paragraph starting in 1/48 inch, the quantity of new-paragraph starting in 1/45 inch approximating the designated quantity of new-paragraph starting is transmitted over a new-paragraph starting control circuit, and the new-paragraph starting motor 9 is driven. Consequently, data are printed at the position of a solid line in 21 larger than the dotted line of a designated position 20 by 4/720 inch on the fourth new-paragraph starting. However, the processor reads the ratio of the fundamental step N, 1/180 inch, of the new-paragraph starting motor to the maximum common divisor M, 1/720 inch, of the actual quantity of new-paragraph starting and the designated quantity of new-paragraph starting that is, N/M=4 at that time, and N/M=the fourth new-paragraph starting based on the designated quantity of new- paragraph starting is conducted. New-paragraph starting steps are corrected only by a value smaller by 1/180 inch at that time and paper is fed, and actual printing is executed at the position of the dotted line 20. |
