PURPOSE:To distinctively use a means which reads one accompaniment pattern by temporary switching and a means which reads it by continuous switching by providing a mode selecting means to the automatic accompaniment device incorporated in various electronic musical instruments. CONSTITUTION:The automatic accompaniment device consists of a storage means 11 stored with plural accompaniment patterns, a read control means 12 which reads the accompaniment patterns out of the storage means 11, an accompaniment pattern switching means 13 which indicates the accompaniment pattern to be read out to the read control means 12, and a temporary accompaniment pattern alteration indicating means 14 which requests the read control means 12 to alter the read accompaniment pattern temporarily into a fill-in pattern. Further, the device is provided with the mode selecting means 15 which selects whether one accompaniment pattern in the storage means 11 is switched and read to the read control means 12 by the accompaniment pattern switching means 13 or the temporary accompaniment pattern alteration indicating means 14, thereby attaining that purpose. |
