PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple splicing method which is suitable for temporary splicing of optical fibers when checking or the like. SOLUTION: Front ends of optical fivers 12A and 12B to be spliced are arranged like V, and a V groove substrate 18 is arranged under then and is raised. Then, front ends of both optical fibers 12A and 12B are made to fall to a V groove 20 of the V groove substrate 18, and the V groove substrate 18 is pressed to bend both optical fibers 12A and 12B, and front end of both optical fibers 12A and 12B are butted and spliced on the V groove 20.
