PURPOSE:To effectively construct a knowledge data base which is used for automatic diagnoses of the causes of faults of various devices and the human bodies. CONSTITUTION:A cause/symptom relation data base 1 shows a two-dimensional table where the causes and the symptoms of faults are defined as the axes. The weight showing the relational strength between the causes and the symptoms is added to the table. A cause/symptom assembly extracting part 2 extracts a set of causes and symptoms where all causes and symptoms are partly related with each other in regard of the relation between the causes and symptoms of the base 1. A diagnostic knowledge describing part 3 receives the set of causes and symptoms extracted by the part 2 and stores the set in a diagnostic knowledge base 4. |
