<p>PURPOSE:To provide a filtration technique which uses a new upward-oriented current system characteristic of a large SS capturing capacity, insignificant increase in filtration resistance and easy washing of filter medium as well as a device using the technique. CONSTITUTION:A filter layer 3 of elastic porous particles is provided in an upward-oriented current filtration tank 1, then untreated water is introduced into the filter layer 3 from an untreated water inflow part 2 and filtered. This treated water is collected into a treated water collection chamber 9 provided at the bottom of a wafer filter net 10, and is obtained from an outflow pipe 8. The surface level of the filter layer is moved upward under control in accordance with an increase in filtration resistance following filtration process. Thus, the processing efficiency and treated water quality are maintained at high level and the deterioration of continuous filtration time and also detergency can be prevented.</p> |
