PURPOSE:To easily obtain an excellently beautiful partially metallized film, by printing a design on both sides of a transparent plastic film having one side metallized and then removing a part of the metallized layer on which no design is printed. CONSTITUTION:A raw sheet composed of a transparent plastic film consisting of a polyester, stretched nylon, etc. and having on one side a metallized layer 12 consisting of a metal such as aluminum, is provided. Designs 13A and 13B are printed each on each side of the sheet at a position corresponding to each other. Then a partially metallized film is obtd. by removing a part of the metallized layer 12 on which no design is printed. The printing method includes gravure or screen printing. It is possible to remove said part, e.g., immersing said layer in a 5%aq. soln. of hydrogen fluoride with the design 13A as a resist, when said metal is aluminum. |
