PURPOSE:To speedily execute recovery when a packet is lost by temporarily storing input data to a multiplexing part in a memory, executing switching to a standby device when generating operation error while processing the input data, and applying the data in the memory to the device. CONSTITUTION:A reception input from a transmission/reception part 5 is supplied through a switch 3a to a device 1a or 1b of a multiplexing part 1, supplied to a memory 2a as well and temporarily stored. When the operation error is generated at the device 1a while processing the input data, a switch 3a and the switch of the multiplexing part 1 are changed over through a switching control part 4, and the contents in the memory 2a are supplied to the spare device 1b. Thus, when the packet is lost, it is not necessary to transmit the packet data again and the recovery is speedily executed. Further, this processing is similar as well in the case of transmitting data.
