: A wall construction is composed of spaced apart vertical studs interconnected by horizontal members that overlap each other to form weather proof horizontal lapped connections. The ends of the horizontal members are provided with vertical rabbets that embrace the studs to form vertical lapped connections and endow the structure with enhanced rigidity.
