PURPOSE:To obtain a clear picture by bringing a heating member which is heated up to specific temperature into contact with the surface of an electrostatic latent image carrier and heating its surface locally and instantaneously. CONSTITUTION:The heating member 6 heated up to the specific temperature is brought into contact with the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 and the surface is heated locally to remove speedily molecules of water sticking to the surface of the drum 1 and molecules of water absorbed by a moisture absorptive material. The heating member 6 is constituted by supporting a heat generating body 7 such as a halogen lamp and a heating wire fixedly in a roller 7 made of a material having high heat conductivity such as aluminum and copper freely from the roller 7. Consequently, the water sticking to the carrier surface and water absorptive material are removed anda clear picture is obtained. |
