PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of casting defects and to produce continuously a composite material by extruding a metal from between a hollow mandrel and a die to form a metallic pipe and filling the molten metal through the hollow mandrel into the metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:A metallic wire 4 contacts with the driving wall surfaces 3 of driving wheels 1 under rotation and is conveyed by the frictional force thereof in the rotating direction when the wire 4 is supplied into a pipeline 7. The wire 4 is conveyed and packed into an assembling chamber 8 and is continuously extruded from the space between the hollow mandrel 11 and the die 10, by which the metallic pipe 9 is formed. The top end of the pipe 9 is crushed and closed by a crushing mechanism 18 and the molten metal 4 is supplied and filled from a tundish 13 through the hollow hole 12 of the hollow mandrel 11 into the successively formed pipe 9. The molten metal 14 filled into the pipe 9 is indirectly cooled by the cooling water sprayed from the nozzle 17. |
