CONSTITUTION:If the steering angle exceeds a certain specific level in this drive changeover clutch control device 40 a multi-disc friction clutch 33 is disengaged to provide rear-wheel drive condition, when transverse acceleration is generated in the opposite direction to the revolution. When generated in the same direction as the revolution, on the other hand, the multi-disc friction clutch 33 is engaged to provide four-wheel drive condition. Therefore, the direction of transverse acceleration generation associate with the steering direction should provide knowledge if it is normal revolution or a revolution caused by counter-steering operation. This can prevent occurrence of tight corner braking phenomena and car spinning.
