<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for authentication of fundus image that is an inexpensive biometrics authentication apparatus capable of accurately identifying and authenticating a user. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for authentication of fundus image comprises a fundus photographing means 2 and an authentication processing means 4. The authentication processing means 4 has an image database 10 registering the fundus image and a similarity calculation processing section 12. The fundus image authentication apparatus 1 photographs the fundus image of a user, calculates the similarity with the fundus image registered in the image database 10, and, when the similarity is a predetermined threshold or higher, authenticates that the user whose fundus is photographed is a registered user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
