PURPOSE:To easily input a route being destined by storing a node adjacent to the current position node of a graphic element constituting a road and, at the same time, displaying the node by shifting a graphic cursor when the node is designated. CONSTITUTION:When an adjacent node in the route to an aimed destination is selected out of the nodes N0 and N1 adjacent to the current position PS and inputted by using a cursor key 17a, a navigation controller 14 generates picture data from the current graphic cursor position to the designated adjacent node from the map information of a memory 15 and updates the content of a video RAM. Then the controller 14 calculates the position of the adjacent node on the displaying picture and inputs the calculated position to a cursor generating section 16b. A readout controlling section 16c reads a map and route picture from the video RAM 16 and displays the read-out map and picture with a color different from that of other roads. Thus the route being destined can be inputted easily in a short time. |
