PURPOSE:To obtain an electric connector for circuit board which can be freely attached to or detached from the circuit board without generating vibration or shock by providing an elastic engaging stoppage extending in the same direction as the inserting direction of an inserting part of the circuit board, on the side plate or bottom plate of an insulating housing. CONSTITUTION:An opening port 14 of an insulating housing 10 is connected to a receiving part 13, surrounded by side plates 15, 15 extending backward that are situated on both sides thereof, and by a bottom plate 16 that is situated on the bottom thereof. On the side plates 15, 15, an elastic engaging stoppage 17 is formed by two slits 17b extending to the vicinity of the fore end surface 11b. On the inside of the rear end of the elastic engaging stoppage 17, an engaging stop projection 17a having a taper is provided. When an inserting part 32 of the board 30 on which electronic parts are put is inserted from the side of the opening port of the receiving part 13 of a connector 1 by an automatic machine such as a robot, the engaging stop projection 17a is engaged with an engaging stop recess 31a of a notch 31 so as to be positioned and fixed. |
