An injection unit (2, 6, 16) includes an extension tube with an axial bore hole running through it, which has an inner thread at its front end for receiving a tensioning unit, and a supply head for the injection agent. The extension tube middle section is in contact with the bottom of a sleeve shaped runner member, and can be released from the latter. An inner thread at the top of the sleeve shaped runner can accommodate a threaded sealing plug. USE/ADVANTAGE - The injection unit is designed so that the extension tube can be turned off without affecting the pressure hose feeding the material being injected.
