The method for refining of Pt and Pd from ore comprises (1) mixing it with a flux-A (ore:100, NaOH:200-300, Zn and Cu alloy podwer:150-250, CaO;300-400, NaHCO3:280-320, Borax:80-150, C:40-60, flourite:100-200, silica:100-150, Na2SO4 or Na2SO3.7H2O or Na2S:80-150, in wt.%), (2) melting it at 1800-2000 deg.C and separating from slag by maintaing melts for 90-100 min, (3) after removing of Ag and Au, precipitating yellowish p.p.t. from soln. by NH4Cl, repeatedly and washing it with methanol, and (4) at first, refining of Pt from a mixture of p.p.t. with flux-B (Borax:40, NaHCO3:40, silica:10, C:5, in wt.%, when metal is 100 wt.%) by melting and then refining of Pd from a mixture of ppt. which is made by introducing NH4Cl to Pt removed soln. which is formed by the addition of 20 wt.% of HNO3 at 90 deg.C, repeatedly and washing it with methanol and flux-B by melting.
