The yarn false twisting appts. has a continuous belt and a rotating body intersecting each other to form a clamping point between them to twist the yarn. After the yarn has left the clamping point, it passes in a spiral round a further rotating body where the entry side and the exit side overlap coaxial to the first rotating body. The second body rotates independently of the first. A yarn guide pref. passes the yarn to the entry side of the clamping point between the continuous belt and the rotating body, and another guide controls the yarn movement for the crossing point of the second body.
