<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cheap posture control device for a vehicle steering wheel, which can prevent the steering wheel from unnecessarily shifting. CONSTITUTION:A shift control means 3 determines whether the condition of shift into a retracting posture or a drive posture of a steering wheel is satisfied or not in accordance with a condition establishment signal from a means 2 for indicating the establishment of a boarding and alighting condition. If the condition of shift into the retracting posture is satisfied, a shift means 4 shifts the steering wheel into the retracting posture only when a detent switch 1 is turned off. If the condition of shift into the drive posture is satisfied, the shift means 4 shift the same into the drive posture without determining whether the detent switch 1 is tuned off or not.</p> |
