<p>The invention relates to a multi-stage telescopic device making use of a screw shaft, and more particularly to a telescopic device capable of automatically performing a telescoping action by means of a simple mechanism. Also, the invention relates to a device for interconnecting and separating cylinders, which are coaxially fitted one onto another in a manner to be movable relative to one another in a longitudinal direction, and a device for preventing the cylinders from extending together. The telescopic device (A) comprises a stationary cylinder fixed to a base (11), a plurality of telescopic cylinders (1, 2, 3) coaxially provided in the stationary cylinder, and a screw shaft (10) provided inside of the stationary cylinder and adapted to rotate. The telescopic device is basically constituted such that the screw shaft is shorter than the telescopic cylinders when they are fully extended, and is provided at a portion of its lower section with a non-threaded portion (12), and that there is provided interconnection and separation means (K) for interconnecting and separating the telescopic cylinders to from one another by engagement of the screw shaft with female thread portions (23) provided at lower portions of the telescopic cylinders.</p> |
