A construct whereby the morphology of cells can be freely regulated. In an embodiment, a construct, which is a culture base whereby the differentiation or proliferation of stem cells can be freely controlled, comprising one thin film having a film thickness ranging from 0.01 to 100 µm or two or more such films layered together. In the culture base according to the above-described embodiment, it is preferred that these thin films are made of a resin.
