<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball excellent in the hitting feel and repulsion by improving compatibility with an ionomer resin concerning a composition for the cover of the golf ball. <P>SOLUTION: By using such a material, as the composition for the cover, that contains: (a) the ionomer resin; (b) thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin with a functional group to react with carbodiimide; and (c) a poly carbodiimide resin, and by performing cross-linking reaction between the polycarbodiimide resin (c) and the carboxyl group of the ionomer resin and the functional group to react with the carbodiimide of the thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin, the compatibility is increased between the ionomer resin (a) and the thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin (b).
