APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING VOLUME CONTROL USER INTERFACE

An apparatus and a method for providing a sound volume adjustment user interface are provided to display information related to whether sound volume is set as a proper level. A noise measuring part measures a noise around a user. A threshold value setting part sets a threshold value of sound volume corresponding to intensity of the measured noise by referring to a mapping table. A receiving part receives a sound volume adjusting signal. If a level of sound volume set by the received sound volume adjusting signal exceeds the threshold value, a control part outputs an event for notifying that the level of the sound volume exceeds the threshold value. The event is one of a video signal or an audio signal. The mapping table indicates relation between the intensity of the measured noise and the threshold value of the sound volume.
