A scraper is provided for a disc furrower opener in which a body of the scraper is arranged to be supported to one side of the disc to locate a fertilizer delivery tube therebetween. The leading edge of the scraper body is arranged to scrape the disc while a trailing edge of the scraper body includes a seed tu be formed integrally therewith for delivering seed into a groove formed along the side of the disc furrow by a wing member which extends laterally outwardly from a bottom end of the scraper body. In some embodiments a gauge wheel is provided adjacent the dis c to gauge a depth of penetration of the disc and a packer wheel is provided on a trailing packer arm for packing disturbed soil in the furrow. The packer wheel is arranged to be supported in a first configuration where depth of penetration of the disc is gauged primarily by the gauge wheel and in a second configuration in which depth of penetration of the disc is gauged primarily by the packer wheel.
