1. An information processing apparatus comprising:
a stick type input device, the stick type input device being attached to a main body portion, including a columnar operation stick, and being configured to sense, using a sensor, an operation performed on the columnar operation stick, a cap attached to the columnar operation stick so as to enclose an upper end of the columnar operation stick, wherein the cap includes an extended part extending in a direction transverse to an axis defined by the columnar operation stick, the extended part includes a hole, the main body portion includes a fixed boss, and the hole and the fixed boss are mated together so as to resist against removal of the cap from the stick type input device and the main body portion.
