PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of preventing an enlarged image from deteriorating in quality by suppressing error interpolation while lightening a processing load in generation of the enlarged image.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: a correlation processing part which calculates correlation values and interpolation values between pixels in a vertical direction, a right oblique direction, and a left oblique direction viewed from a pixel to be interpolated; an interpolation value output part which determines an interpolation direction based upon the correlation values, and outputs an interpolation value of the pixel to be interpolated in the determined direction; a limit value calculation part which calculates a limit value of the interpolation values using pixel values of pixels nearby the pixel to be interpolated in predetermined upper and lower lines of the pixel to be interpolated; and a limit processing part which limits and outputs the interpolation value that the interpolation value output part outputs based upon the calculated limit value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
