The present invention provides a battery cell which comprises: a jelly-roll type electrode assembly of a structure where an anode, a cathode, and a separation film interposed between the anode and the cathode are wound; a cylindrical can configured to embed the electrode assembly together with an electrolyte therein; a cap assembly coupled to an opened upper portion of the cylindrical can; and an electrolyte sensing member mounted in an upper end of the cap assembly to sense an electrolyte leaked form the cap assembly. Therefore, the battery cell can easily identify whether an electrolyte is leaked.
