The present invention relates to an apparatus to process a serration forming mold core of a light guide plate. The processing apparatus comprises: a stage which has a mold core including a serration pattern loaded thereon; a plurality of rollers arranged on a surface of the stage in a vertical direction; a wire in contact with an outer periphery of the rollers, and wound on the rollers; and a polishing material supply means which supplies a polishing material to the wire. The stage is moved in a left and a right direction against the wire while the rollers rotate in order to make the serration pattern surface of the mold core a mirror surface by making the serration pattern surface come in contact with the wire. The processing apparatus enables mirror surface processing on the serration pattern surface of the mold core in order to enhance an efficiency of incident light regarding an incident light surface of the light guide plate manufactured using an injection molding method. Accordingly, the processing apparatus enhances brightness of the light guide plate and suppresses irregular reflection in order to provide a uniform and a planar light source, and provides an advantage in manufacturing the light guide plate. |
