<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can well convert CO by controlling deactivation of a copper-based catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: When power generation treatment of a fuel cell system 100 is started, an inert gas is introduced into a CO converter 142 at 50°C or less. Therefore, since a CO conversion catalyst is not exposed to air when the temperature is raised to 50°C or higher at the time of starting the treatment for converting CO, CuO will not be newly formed, and aggregation of Cu in the CO conversion catalyst can be prevented when it is reduced at a temperature of 50°C or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
