[Also in Division A2] Cigarettes are introduced into hopper 4 from the left by means of belt conveyer 10. The hopper is provided with upper and lower level devices A so that when the upper level device is actuated the belts 5 and 6 start to feed cigarettes rightwards past the curtains 3 which maintain cigarettes in their orientation, the cigarettes forming the pile on the right as shown. The belts are provided with level devices C, D, E so that the belts 6, 7, 8, 9 are controlled to pass the heap so formed rightwards into hopper 12, cigarettes travelling rightwards in heaps to the hopper 12, in accordance with the level devices B. |
