<p>Device comprises a rolling force sensor whose signal is changed by a transformer into a signal of the strip thickness. This is fed to a retarding device. Another sensor determines the strip thickness at the discharge end of the roller. A main comparator compares the signal from the strip sensor, the transformer and the retarder with a control signal. It determines a fixed value of strip thickness and sends a deviation signal to operate an adjustor on the strip tensioning device so that the deviation signal is reduced to zero.</p> |
