<p>Drops of a soln. or dispersion of the salts are projected by an injection with the help of a gas into a bath of a reagent at an angle of less than 45 degrees (and pref. between 25 degrees and 35 degrees) to the bath surface. The drops are pref. projected into a zone near to an parallel to the periphery of the bath. Specif. the drops roll along the hollow of a wave, created by the projecting gas flow on the bath surface, before penetrating into the liquid. Used for making U, Th, Pu and other transuranic element-based particles.</p> |
