PURPOSE:To reduce A memory capacity of a CATV converter, to display broadcast program information without need of a function equivalent to a personal computer and to facilitate the timer reservation operation. CONSTITUTION:A computer 1 sends an information data signal (a) to a CATV converter 4 via a CATV cable 3 from a head end 2 together with a video audio signal (b) at an interval of 1sec. The information data signal (a) is fed to a control section 4C via an FSK demodulator 4b, and when the information data signal (a) is a signal from the CATV converter 4, a tuner 4a is used to receive the video audio signal (b) and gives it to a television receiver 5. Moreover, the control section 4C gives 15 sets of broadcast program information with a mark representing finished contract added thereto to a video RAM 4 sequentially in response to the presence of the contract, and the information is scrolled up for each second on the screen of a television receiver 5 in response to the display command operation of the viewer. Furthermore, one set of broadcast program information is displayed fixedly for 15sec each in the case of timer reservation.
