The apparatus for preventing impact, vibration, or disc damage from tray opening/closing action, controls reduction of tray moving speed after the tray is moved at a constant speed to reach a certain position. The method is composed of deciding rotating direction of motor (3) by open/close key input signal, driving motor (3) and tray (4), reducing motor speed after a certain position, stopping motor at tray movement stopping point and simultaneously waiting for receiving next input signal.
