The post comprises a round sectioned reinforcing tube and a hollow elastic material body of triangular cross section inserted over and round this, fitting against it at three points inside, both being detachably joined to a base unit, which accommodates them in a corresponding recess. An interval space is left between the top edge of the reinforcing tube and the top edge of the hollow body, of at least half the diameter of the former. The insertion depth in the base is pref. about one-and-a-half times this diameter, and half the length of hte base. Simple to construct and erect, stable and light in weight, this can suffer virtually no damage, and is unlikely to damage colliding vehicles. |
