PURPOSE:To flocculate suspended matter in nonaqeous solvents to large flocs and to make sepn. thereof from the solvents easy in the stage of flocculating the suspended matter in the nonaqueous slovents by using specific homopolymers or copolymers. CONSTITUTION:The homopolymers such as polyacrylic acid of a compd. expressed by the formulaIor the copolymers constituted of components of the compd. of the formulaIand methyl acrylate, etc. expressed by the formula II (R1 in the formulaI, II is hydrogen atom, methyl group and R2 in the formula II is alkyl group, hydroxy alkyl group.) are used in flocculating suspended matter in nonaqueous solvents such as acetone. Or the homopolymers of dimethylaminoethyl acrylate, etc. expressed by the formula III or the copolymers constituted of the components of the formula III and the formula II are used in combination with the above-mentinoed polymers. Thus, the colloidal materials in the nonaqueous solvents form large flocs and the solvents are separated to slovent parts and the firm floc parts. |
