Graphic display apparatus for aircraft or the like is provided with input means for receiving azimuth elevation and range coordinates of one or more objects in or near the flight path of said aircraft and comprises a two-dimensional grid of substantially concentric closed figures (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) for simulating a perspective view into a laterally sectioned tunnel and is adapted to display the position of a said object by means of a marker (A, B) on said grid whereby the range of said object is represented by a projection line (11, 13) from the marker terminating at an appropriate lateral section of the tunnel and the azimuth (4 DEG ), and elevation (22 DEG ) of said object correspond to respective coordinates (measured relative to the centre of the grid) of the marker (A). <IMAGE> |
