<p>The klystron tuning control apparatus comprises a D.C. motor (5) connected to the tuning shaft (2) of a klystron (1), a detecting means (4) for electrically detecting a position of the tuning shaft (2) and a control means for turning the D.C. motor (5) to reduce the difference between the output voltage of the detecting means (4) and a reference voltage (14) to zero, thereby providing a coincidence signal. A counter means (12) counts the coincidence signal by a predetermined number and provides a counting output. A means (13, 6 to 9) provides for turning the D.C. motor (5) in a predetermined direction only for a short period of time in response to the counting output. This apparatus eliminates the adverse effect of backlash on klystron tuning control entailing a frequency change. </p> |
