An adhesive composition having improved thermal properties, especially hot strength, comprising (a) at least one polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomer, (b) about 0.1 to about 10% by weight of at least one polymerizable acrylate ester and (c) about 0.1 to about 20% by weight of an additive selected from the group consisting of the following compounds: <IMAGE> <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> wherein R7 and R8 are selected from the group consisting of alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralky and alkaryl. The compositions disclosed herein have excellent hot strength properties for long periods at 250 DEG F. or more.
