PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in engine brake performance and avoidance in the occurrence of a tight corner braking phenomenon, by having transfer torque capacity in a differential limiting device of a center differential gear controlled for increase or decrease according to the judged result that whether motor output and car speed both are less than the specified value or not. CONSTITUTION:In the case where power of an internal combustion engine 10 is transmitted to both axles 94 and 96 for symmetrical front wheels and a rear-wheel drive shaft 58 via a 4WD driving transfer device 14 and an automatic transmission 12, this 4WD driving transfer device 14 is provided with a center differential gear 42 which performs a differential action between front and rear wheels. And, a front differential gear 82 is installed between symmetrical front wheels. In addition, the center differential gear 42 is provided with a differential control clutch 64 which is controlled by a hydraulic controller 74. In this case, this hydraulic controller 74 is controlled by a controller 10 so as to decrease or increase transfer torque of the differential control clutch 64 when output of the internal combustion engine 10 is less than (or more than) the specified value and car speed is less than (or more than) the specified value.
