PURPOSE:To measure a gap between a photosensitive drum and a measuring instrument in no contact and obtain the eccentricity and straightness of th potosensitive drum by illuminating laser rays, and receiving the laser rays reflected on the surface of the photosensitive drum and returned. CONSTITUTION:A displacement meter 10A illuminates laser rays and receives the laser rays reflected on a photosensitive drum 1 and returned to measure a gap between the displacement meter 10A and the photosensitive drum 1. For the measurement range, the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 is mea sured in one rotation. The photosensitive drum 1 is rotated by a motor 11, and the photosensitive drum 1 is measured for one rotation at the optional timing. The displacement meter 10A is connected to an amplifier 12, the fine output value is amplified, and the amplified output value is displayed on a plotter type output unit. Another displacement meter 10B concurrently performs measurement. The eccentricity and straightness can be concurrently measured. |
